36.19% (+3.30% 1wk)

Status: Neutral Environment

The US Total Percentage of Stocks above their 50 Day, 150 Day & 200 Day Moving Averages (shown above) increased by +3.30% this week.

Therefore, the overall combined average is at 36.19% in the US market (NYSE and Nasdaq markets combined) above their short, medium and long term moving averages.

The combined average rebounded this week, with the majority of the gains coming from the NYSE market, while the Nasdaq improved only slightly. So not a broad market improvement by any means. But it is the first improvement in the last 10 weeks.

It closed the week +1.88% above its short-term 20 day MA, and -5.87% below its 50 day MA (signal line). Hence with the cross above the 20 day MA, the status changed to a Neutral Environment status.

The Point and Figure (P&F) chart (shown above) was unchanged in its current column of Os this week. So the P&F strategy remains on Defense (as it is in a column of Os) and P&F Bear Confirmed status in the lower-middle of the field.

See the Bullish Percent article for more information on the P&F statuses.
