  • 6 sectors in (Strong) Stage 2 zone (Financials, Industrials, Basic Materials, Energy, Real Estate, Consumer Staples)
  • 5 sectors in (Neutral) Stage 1 / 3 zone (Consumer Discretionary, Utilities, Health Care, Technology, Communication Services)
  • 0 sectors in (Weak) Stage 4 zone

Sample Size: 5054 stocks

The percentage of US stocks above their 150 day moving averages in the 11 major sectors decreased by -0.24% since the previous post on the 11th March 2024, moving the overall average to 60.02%, which continues to hover around the borderline of the Strong zone (60%+ range).

Sector changes: The sectors in the Stage 2 zone (Strong – above 60%) increased from 5 to 6. The sectors in the Stage 1 / 3 zone (Neutral – 40% to 60% range) decreased from 6 to 5, and the number of sectors in the Stage 4 zone (Weak – below 40%) was unchanged at Zero.
