  • 1 sector in Stage 2 zone (Energy)
  • 2 sectors in Stage 1 / 3 zone (Financials, Industrials)
  • 8 sectors in Stage 4 zone (Real Estate, Technology, Consumer Discretionary, Consumer Staples, Basic Materials, Communication Services, Utilities, Health Care)

Sample Size: 5134 stocks

The Percentage of US Stocks Above Their 150 day Moving Averages in the 11 major sectors has continued to deteriorate over the last month, and has fallen a further -6.86% since the previous post on the 28th August 2023, taking the overall average down to 36.25%, and so has entered the Weak zone in the lower middle of the field.

Sector changes: The sectors in the Stage 2 zone (Strong – above 60%) was unchanged at 1. The sectors in the Stage 1 / 3 zone (Neutral – 40% to 60% range) decreased from 6 to 2, and the number of sectors in the Stage 4 zone (Weak – below 40%) increased from 4 to 8.
