$SPY S&P 500 with the first signs of early Stage 1 on the intraday 2 hour timeframe. So potential start of the basing phase. But a lot of work to do yet, if it is, as it is only just moving into Phase B potentially. So needs more time to develop and with elevated volatility it could easily test the lows of the range again, which is normal behaviour in Phase B as there are often multiple Secondary Tests (ST) at both ends of the range as it begins to build a cause.
The VIX remains elevated above its own 200 day MA by around 40%, and so it is not a favourable environment currently, and hence defensive strategies remain in focus for the time being.
