Interesting. Mine is based only on the FTSE350 (and I've not checked the components lately). It therefore appears that the top 350 stocks are behaving more strongly than the rest of the market.

I think the stockcharts one covers around 1500 UK stocks.

That probably makes it more useful than my AD line in general. However, personally I like to plot my own charts. However, I'm not putting 1500 stocks in my database to do this stat.

UK major Gold and Silver stocks RRS.L and FRES.L showing some relative strength

Unfortunately there is a lot of noise on it such that it is not worth plotting but the UK gold sterling ETF, PHGP.L, has made a higher low so perhaps in sterling terms it might be no longer dropping.

Following the observation that the cummulative advancing declining volume ration is rising I added more gold miners to my database last week. New plot attached.
   

Despite the advancing / declining volume ratio it seems like the general trend is stage 4 but given that some stocks have strengthend perhaps we are turning a corner?
