US Sectors - Percent of Stocks Above their 150 Day Moving Average
Below is the Percent of Stocks Above their 150 Day Moving Average table in each sector, which is ordered by overall health. Also attached is the visual diagram of the 9 sectors and the two major exchanges that make up the sectors that shows a snapshot of the overall health of the US market.
Note: the overall sector average is at 34.64% currently and gained +5.69% since last week, with financials, consumer staples and industrials having the largest gains.
It's good to see the continued improvement in the Percent of Stocks getting above their 150 Day Moving Averages. However, the majority still remain in the lower third of the range, and the defensive sectors of Utilities and Consumer Staples still have the highest percentages above their 150 day MAs. So we need to see that dynamic change, with the Cyclical Stock Sectors taking the lead. Especially important in this imo, is Financials. which has by far the most stocks of all the sectors in my scans.
