RE: US Stocks - Watchlist and Discussion (Premium)
SCOK was brought to my attention by goodtyneguy, and is currently four weeks into early Stage 2A with a significant increase in the volume since moving into Stage 2. Relative performance is also strengthening above a flattening zero line and it's just cleared the 2013 highs and so has no near term resistance. The monthly chart is also showing promise as it has moved strongly above the 30 month MA on more than 6x the average monthly volume, and it's the highest volume for over three years. So the monthly is showing the positive progression that we want to see and the monthly chart is now in Stage 1A itself.
Clearly it's extended currently well past the initial investor entry point, and so it's one to watch imo for a pullback to test the breakout level and hence the secondary entry zone, or if it consolidates at a higher level and then makes a continuation.
The Coal sub sector is in the strongest sector overall currently which is energy, but the Coal sub sector is the weakest of the sub sectors in the energy group and is testing the bottom of it's Stage 1 base. However, the Coal ETF (KOL) is looking more promising in Stage 1 and looks to replicate the Market Vectors Global Coal Index, and so is more broad than just the US sub sector chart.
