RE: Market Breadth Extra - Sign of a bear?
Sign of an upcoming bear?
Daily Express, Pension saving set to be boosted by 15 year stocks boom
Lots of discussion of 15 year market cycles, market predicted to make 7000, 7500 & 8000 this year. Interesting also to note a few snippets:
Research by advisers Brewin ÂDolphin shows FTSE 100 investors have a 73 per cent chance of doubling returns within 15 years, and a three per cent chance of negative returns.
Double in 15 years? 4.7% a year. Better than a savings account right now but not stunning.
A recent poll of 400 analysts also found 36 per cent expected the market in 2014 to exceed the all-time highs not seen since the final days of the 1990s, hitting values of 7,000 to 7,500.
64% remained who either declined to answer, thought the market would move sideways or decline. Of course, if we do hit a 15 year bull that is cause to celebrate.
I do note that there are plenty of bearish headlines to this article may be an outlier.
